Next came the shaping of the parkway. We carefully graded the soil to allow for proper water flow and prevent pooling during heavy rain. Once the area was even, we laid clean brick borders to give a defined edge between the mulch and the decomposed granite pathway.

To help the landscape thrive, we installed drip irrigation lines underneath the mulch layer. This system delivers water directly to the roots of each plant—efficient and waste-free.

Our team then planted drought-tolerant plants, including blue fescue and low-growing succulents. These choices keep the curb strip green without using too much water, which is ideal for San Diego’s dry seasons.

The final result was a modern, clean parkway space that gave the entire block and street a clean, elevated look. The mixture of brick borders, DG pathways, and rich mulch beds added visual interest while staying fully functional.
